This Privacy Policy explains how Veyra (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (the “Services”). By using Veyra, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal and technical information:

  • Account identifiers such as your email address, username, and encrypted password.
  • Profile details you provide, such as your birthdate, gender, and country or city.
  • Device and connection details, including a randomly generated device identifier, IP address, operating system, app version, and browser type.
  • Location data, where permitted by your device settings. We convert it to your general area (city, region and country) and do not track your movements.
  • Interaction history, such as viewed items, purchases, and wishlist activity.
  • User-submitted content, including photos, comments, and posts.
  • Social engagement data, such as follows, likes, and profile activity.

2. How We Collect Information

We gather information through:

  • Direct user input during registration, checkout, and profile creation.
  • Automated technologies such as cookies, analytics tools, and tracking pixels.
  • Integrated third-party services (e.g., Shopify storefronts and checkout).

3. How We Use Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide and improve the functionality of our marketplace and social features.
  • Personalize recommendations, feeds, and shopping experiences, including showing you brands near your general area.
  • Process and secure payments through Shopify.
  • Support vendors by enabling Shopify store integrations.
  • Communicate with you regarding updates, support, or account matters.
  • Analyze usage patterns and improve platform performance.
  • Create aggregated and de-identified insights, as described in Section 4.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

We only share personal data with trusted service providers necessary to operate our Services:

  • Shopify – for vendor storefront integrations and payment processing.
  • AWS and Supabase – for secure hosting and data storage.
  • Redis and analytics providers – for performance and caching.
  • Geoapify – to convert your device location into a general area (city, region, and country).

We also give brands on Veyra aggregated insights about their audience, such as which cities their buyers, followers, and product viewers are in. These insights are city-level totals only: they never include your name, account, or precise location, and cities with fewer than five people are grouped together so no individual can be singled out. Brands you buy from separately receive the shipping details needed to fulfill your order.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Aggregated and De-identified Data

We may combine information from many users to create aggregated or de-identified data, such as trends in popular genres, categories, or demographics across the platform. This data is grouped so that it does not identify you and cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We may use this data for any purpose, including sharing it with or licensing it to third parties such as brands, partners, and researchers. These insights never include data about individual users, and we require recipients not to attempt to re-identify anyone.

Because aggregated and de-identified data no longer identifies you, it cannot be withdrawn or deleted once it has been created or shared, including if you later delete your account. After your account is deleted, your information is no longer included in new aggregated data.

5. Data Protection and Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption, secure hosting, and access controls to protect your personal information. Passwords and sensitive credentials are stored in hashed or encrypted form. While we take strong precautions, no system is completely immune from unauthorized access or breaches.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services and comply with legal requirements. You may delete your account at any time in the app settings or on our account deletion page, or request deletion by contacting us at the email below. When you delete your account, your personal information is deleted, except that order records are kept in a form no longer linked to your account, where required for tax, accounting, or legal purposes.

7. User Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or outdated data.
  • Request deletion of your account and data.
  • Opt out of certain features such as location tracking or targeted analytics.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Veyra uses cookies, tracking pixels, and similar technologies to enhance user experience, monitor engagement, and facilitate authentication. You can manage or disable cookies through your device or browser settings, but some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

9. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. If significant changes are made, we will notify users via email or in-app notice. Continued use of Veyra after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
