Spending a Day with Toronto Creators

We spent the day with local Toronto influencers to see what content creation actually looks like up close.

From shooting TikToks to taking fit pics, we followed them through Graffiti Alley and around the city. Real locations, real process, no script.

The Day

A lot of people only see the final post. They don't see the ten takes, the walking back for a better angle, or waiting for the right light.

We wanted to show that side of it. What it actually takes to build content in this city day to day.

Where We Shot

Graffiti Alley was the main spot.

The walls there change constantly. New murals go up, old ones get painted over. That constant turnover is actually what makes it useful for content creators. Every shoot looks different from the last one, and the colours and textures give you a backdrop that works without needing any setup.

The light in the alley is usable for most of the day, which matters when you are shooting without a lighting setup. For creators working without a full production crew, that kind of location does a lot of the work for you.

We also moved through downtown streets and storefronts throughout the day.

The Setup

No big production. iPhone and a tripod.

That is the reality for most creators building their presence in Toronto right now. The accessibility is the point. You do not need a camera crew or a studio to put out content that connects. You need a good eye, good locations, and the willingness to do ten takes until it feels right.

Watching that process up close made it clear how much intention goes into what looks effortless on a feed.

Mason's Viral Reel

One of the highlights from the day was watching Mason shoot what ended up becoming a viral Instagram Reel.

That video hit over 200K views.

The framing, the movement, getting the shot just right across multiple takes. It looks effortless in the final cut but there was a lot of intention behind it.

Final Thoughts

Toronto has a real creator scene and the people in it take it seriously.

The locations, the fits, the setups. It all comes together but it starts with knowing what you're doing.
